Over the years Pittsburgh has grown into a huge city for entertainment. On every corner are big-name bars or smaller, intimate ones that specialize in everything from wine to martinis. The atmosphere can be ambient & relaxing or loud & crazy. The amount of night clubs has grown significantly over the past ten years in Pittsburgh, thanks to new areas of the city like Southside & Station Square, hosting bars like Diesel & Bar Room.
In the steel city, dining out is not focused solely on eating. Dining is an experience. Environment & location play just as important of a role as the food itself. One stunning restaurant where the location is breathtaking is the Le Mont, located in Mt. Washington, rated the second most beautiful vista in America by USA Weekend. At the Le Mont, guests indulge in delicacies, sitting right next to an awe-inspiring view of the city. Restaurants like this, along with many more, show the elegance of the bridge city.
Another city aspect adding to its charm is the famous sports teams. Both the Steelers & the Pirates have a relatively new stadium and field, where fans can watch them beat opponents while overlooking a scenic view of the Allegheny. Another area for shopping is Pittsburgh Mills, the newest mall in Pittsburgh. If boutiques and some larger stores are preferred for browsing, try South Side Works. It’s smaller, but its quality matters more than quantity. There are also many indoor malls in the area like Ross Park, South Hills Village and Robison. Talk about shopping options!

The Strip is also home to the Primanti Brothers Restaurant, famous for the meat, French fry & coleslaw sandwich. People from all over the country have sunk their teeth into this steel city staple. The restaurant serves sandwiches of the desired meat, smothered by a coleslaw layer, a French fry layer, & a tomato slice, in between pieces of Italian bread. This sandwich has been around since the 1930’s & sure to feed hungry stomachs for a long time.
